French oak grey

“French oak in a box” comes from old fruit crates from France, where we find our oak barnwood “French oak”. Intensive use and exposure to wind and weather have left the planks beautifully aged and grooved. This type of reclaimed wood is often used to cover larger surfaces such as walls or ceilings.

Product Information

The inside of the old fruit crates has a brownish tint, which is caused by fruit juices penetrating deep into the wood over the years. Some planks still carry the original letters of the fruit grower!
