We are
Historisch hout
The specialist in reclaimed wood products & barnwood timber. We travel across Europe to source only the highest quality circular wood. Over the years, we’ve built up an extensive network, allowing us to purchase almost all of our materials directly from the source from antique oak wine press beams from Bosnia to reclaimed hardwood from the Port of Rotterdam.
We have our own sawmill and workshop where we produce a diverse range of products in a traditional way using our selection of circular wood. This includes both custom-made products for the private and commercial sectors, as well as standardized products such as wall cladding, facade cladding, and robust flooring. Our unique clients are located throughout Europe and far beyond.

Barnwood
We offer an extensive catalog of reclaimed wood types, with various colors, textures, and finishes. Our diverse wood species have a rustic, natural look and are available in different finishes to suit various interior and exterior styles.
Our barnwood collection combines the charm of reclaimed wood with the sustainability of reused wood, perfect for various interior and exterior purposes. Some of our barnwood types are available in both solid pieces and semi-finished products (tailor-made).
Circular old wood
At Historisch Hout, sustainability is key. Recycled wood is a unique material that contributes to a better environment in several ways. It ensures forest conservation – after all, no trees need to be cut down for it – and by reusing the wood instead of burning it, the stored CO₂ is preserved.
Besides its sustainable value, wood also carries a story. Each piece shows character and visibly tells its history. It is marked by weather, wind and the life it has led before. From circular tropical hardwood from the Rotterdam harbour to robust oak beams from an abandoned building in the Balkans – each piece of wood is unique and deserves a second life.
