Historisch Hout imports barnwood from old grain barns and wine presses from the Southeast Balkan countries. We saw this type of aged oak wood into individual planks, which we also use to create parquet floors suitable for underfloor heating. Additionally, barnwood Zadar is perfectly suitable for wall and ceiling cladding.

Historisch Hout imports barnwood from old grain barns and wine presses in the Southeast Balkan countries. These barns, often over 150 years old, are purchased from local managers and carefully dismantled by hand. Every reclaimed oak plank tells its own story, making each one unique. Our barnwood type “Zadar” stands out with its planed finish, where the original characteristics of the aged oak remain visible, but the surface is smoother and more refined. The subtle cracks and knots remain visible.

Our barnwood Zadar can be used in various interior styles. Besides having a beautiful look, our type of barnwood ‘Zadar’ is also durable!
