Wine press beams

Historisch Hout offers a wide range of authentic wine press beams from an impressive stock. The old oak beams have served for many years as solid outer walls of wine presses and farms in Southeastern Europe.

Due to decades of exposure to the elements, the beams have taken on their current shape. Thanks to their rectangular form, they are perfectly suitable as old oak purlins. The beams are typically 7-12 cm thick and about 20-25 cm high. Available in lengths up to 500 cm, they are ideal for use in old oak structures. These beams help create a rustic, country-style look.

In addition to being used as structural wood, we often saw the wine press beams into various barnwood types, such as “Sarajevo” and “Zadar,” in different thicknesses. Because the oak wood has been naturally air-dried for many years, it is stable and perfectly suited for use in interior construction. We also offer solid oak beam fireplace beam, crafted from these reclaimed wine press beams, adding warmth and character to any fireplace or mantelpiece.
